Live to Give Fundraiser Contributes 1000 Blankets and 100 Tents to Haiti Relief Fund
Socialites, celebrities, and musicians alike gathered on Saturday, 6 March, at 121 Club in Cape Town for the Live to Give?s very first fundraiser. The event was held in aid of the recent tragedy in Haiti as well as to raise funds for Live to Give?s Western Cape Easter hamper project.
Live to Give has a mission to help and give back to those in need as well as to create awareness in society, to make people take a closer look at their lives; especially when these lives have been sheltered.
'We tend to forget and look the other direction and become selfish in our own right, but giving because we want to, and have a love for giving because you care; makes all the difference in the world. And it is not about giving money, it is about giving to help.? Nina Zani ? Founder, Live to Give.
Despite the sweltering heat, artist and socialites took to the red carpet and were interviewed and filmed; Kitty Spencer was well dressed to the occasion and looked glamorous as ever. Performances from the Dane Taylor Trio, Justin Bergh, Chad Saaiman as well as Lu Chase ? our very own Beyonce were well received, with many up and coming artist like Zee Q and Lifeasadj getting the party started.
Behind the bar, Christina Storm, Sergio Marques and actress Amalia Uys from the well known soapie 7-de Laan, made sure all the guest were well looked after, drenching their thirst with cold served beverages. The event was intimate and the venue perfect for such an occasion with amazing décor, perfect setting and great prizes sponsored by brands like Pussy Energy drinks, Vida E coffee, Quatro Uno Bistro and the new 15 on Orange Boutique hotel.
A lot of hard work is still ahead for Live to Give as they still need to put together a package of 1000 blankets and 100 tents to send to Haiti Relief Fund Inc. as well as 1000 food hampers for their own Western Cape Easter project. It is a big challenge, but nothing will stop LTG achieving what they set out to do.

Benefit for Haiti Relief in Michigan
'Lebanese Nights' at the popular restaurant LaPita, 22681 Newman Street, has been the talk of Dearborn for months, and now patrons have a chance to "Party for a Purpose" on Saturday, January 30, at 10:30 p.m.
All cover charge proceeds from the event will be donated to Haiti Relief Fund for earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.
The cover charge for the event will be $10 and additional donations are also encouraged.
'Lebanese Nights' started as a venture to provide a local Lebanese-style club atmosphere, and has evolved into an opportunity to help those in need.
The founders, Dr. Chadi Haddad, Dr. Fadi Khoury and Jad Soudah, M.B.A, are committed to their vision and to the community, consistently supporting non-profit organizations, students, and the community as a whole.
Now the focus has shifted to Haiti where an estimated 1.5 million people have been left homeless and relief is still desperately needed.
"It is because we are more fortunate than others that we have decided — not only at this time, but always — to support those who need our help most," Haddad said about the Haiti benefit.
